Job Scope:
Accountable for:
- Compensation administration and execution of compensation programs in North America (United States & Canada), and South America (Brazil & Mexico)
- Overall uniform global compensation standards in regards to job creation, matches, leveling, incumbent slotting & survey participation
- Training, explaining and interpreting compensation basics, company pay philosophy, programs, policies & tools
- Developing training and communication materials in order to educate and ensure understanding of total rewards at JDSU
- Collaborating with team to ensure consistent global approach to program & policies, while identifying local needs for region and subjects of accountability
- Providing compensation consulting to Latin America (LAM) & Global Sales Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP), and LAM & Sales Management
- Developing Compensation presentation and other communication & training materials
Major Responsibilities:
- Researching, gathering and analyzing data to find out appropriate salary level and job title for new positions and correction of current job matches
- Evaluate proposed and existing jobs and classifying them in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements
- Responsible for assisting in the developing, communicating and implementing compensation plans including base, incentives, equity, policies and procedures
- Conducting salary surveys and participating in them in a timely, valid and reliable manner
- Interpreting salary data and performing analysis and evaluations that lead to innovative recommendations to attract, motivate and retain talent
- Gathering sales data critical to the sales compensation programs including but not limited to job descriptions and evaluation, incentive mix and other compensation elements that drive the executing of sales goals and strategic initiatives
- Proactively identifying issues and making recommendations for NAM and LAM compensation programs and processes
- Preparing statistical analysis, data modeling and costing base
- Providing support to all HR colleagues concerning interpretation of compensation practices and guidelines
- Manages ongoing and ad hoc compensation projects
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or Business Management
- Strong compensation background with experience specifically related to compensation best practices & sales compensation plans.
- Development, program management and implementation of compensation policies and programs in a dynamic, changing organization
- Effective leadership skills to motivate other leaders to excel and build collaborative, partnering team
- Excellent organizational, process and program management skills
- Proficiency Advanced Excel, Power Point and Word
- Exceptional written and verbal skills
- Team player, self-starter, bias for on time delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in using Oracle and Brio

Responsibilities:

• Participate in standardized compensation surveys;
