It has long been a common understanding that a “gender pay gap” exists in the United States, but is this understanding based on valid and accurate data? This presentation will provide a grounding in the history of the gender pay gap, within the perspective of the larger cultural landscape, and of the ongoing struggle to apply robust and effective quantitative metrics to it. It will bring us right up to the minute, with a close analysis of a major development that’s underway now, as multiple compensation survey firms are starting to collect gender data within the framework of traditional pay surveys.

The target audience is Compensation practitioners, but it will be informative and engaging for Human Resources generalists and executives as well. Please join us for insight on the practical value of new sources of valid, timely market data applicable to HR/Compensation strategies in the years to come.
